Kumari Srimathi Web Series Review: ‘Kumari Srimathi’ does have minor shortcomings. The scenes where Gautami reminds Nithya of marriage get a tad bit irksome as it had already been established. Repeating it multiple times is tiring. There are some romantic escapades as well. While it slows down the pace, it adds another layer to Srimathi’s life.
After Nithya Menen, it is Gautami who truly excels in her performance as a bickering mother. Her character arc is a pleasure to watch. Praneetha Patnaik and Talluri Rameshwari bring smiles to our faces with their delightful performances.
‘Kumari Srimathi’ is a great addition to web shows that talk about women’s empowerment.

Kumari Srimathi Web Series Review by VINAMRA MATHUR
But come to think of it, how does the gender matter anyway. How does it matter if a bar is owned by a woman if all alcoholics have to do is just have a drink? The skewed outlook of people around Menen only expose the existence of regressive mindsets of people even in 2023. All a woman is trying to do is fight her own battles, and raise the bar. No puns again!

Kumari Srimathi Web Series Review by OTT Play
Kumari Srimathi is a largely entertaining, progressive web show with fabulous performances by Nithya Menen and Talluri Rameshwari besides some sparks in Srinivas Avasarala’s writing. The series loses its way while trying to do many things at once – be funny, inspirational, and please all audiences. Not many characters beyond Srimathi get enough scope to stand out.

Kumari Srimathi Web Series Review by Ashima Grover
The series starts off on an extremely light note, but then eventually pulls a few chuckles out of you, which ultimately also shape into an emotional ride centred around a women-led household that is initially dragged down by many stereotypes. But, in the end, it is exactly what wins over your heart in the end.
In a society where property and wills official matters dominantly handled by men, Srimathi’s (Nithya Menen) striving struggle to fight for her family house while striking a balance of emotions with her mother, sister and grandmother in the absence of a father figure is a soaring flight that keeps the lighthearted hope of simplicity alive, and the intriguing betrayals kicking till the last minute. It’s a family entertainer through and through as its humble colours and tone bridge the gap between the life of the ostensible “modern” independent woman and Indian traditions.
Kumari Srimathi 2023 is streaming on Amazon Prime Video.

Kumari Srimathi Web Series Review by Divya Raje Bhonsale
Apart from Menen, the cast comprises Gauthami, Nirupam, Thiruveer, Talluri Rameshwari, Prem Sagar, and Praneetha Patnaik. It’s not one person who stands out the most, but all of them together.
As for Menen, I last remember her from Mission Mangal as Varsha Pillai, but as Srimathi, she’s seen as the complete opposite. Between the two, I’m certainly in awe of Srimathi more.
Directed by Gomtesh Upadhye, Kumari Srimathi is a series that deserves to be watched with the family. Apart from the raw beauty of the village near the Godavari River, which is a treat to the eyes, the impactful dialogues and bone-tickling humor, are what also work in its favor.

Kumari Srimathi Web Series Review by Murali
“Kumari Srimathi” Season 1 is a must-watch gem in the world of Indian web series. It’s a delightful concoction of laughter, tears, and thought-provoking moments. Nithya Menen’s magnetic performance, Gomtesh Upadhye’s brilliant direction, and the show’s ability to balance humor and depth make it a standout. While not without its flaws, “Kumari Srimathi” Season 1 triumphs in delivering a heartwarming, authentic narrative that will leave you with a smile on your face and a sense of empowerment in your heart. It’s a testament to the power of storytelling when it’s done right, and I eagerly await what the next season has in store for us.

Kumari Srimathi Review by B.H Prasad
However that doesn’t mean Kumari Srimathi is not without flaws as the narrative accomplishes into the usual OTT standard storytelling, but it is more like watching a commercial Telugu film that has women-power all over. However, producer Swapna believes that even OTT content should be watchable by families together rather than everyone watching it alone on their phones. Let’s see how the total series works.
